Yang Lu is an installation artist and poet who has exhibited in the United States, the United Kingdom, and South Korea. Recent exhibitions include a solo show at the CICA Museum in South Korea and collective shows at Color Club, HAZ Gallery, and Gallery Wrightwood in Chicago, Cista Arts in London, and Sonic Sculptures 3 in Nottingham, UK. Yang Lu also participated in a residency at the School of Visual Arts in New York. He describes himself as a deeply improvisational artist by stating—”In my work, I embrace elements of chance and randomness as a way to break free from rigid control and allow for unexpected outcomes. Because creativity is not only about intention and precision but also about embracing the unknown”.
